at the Treehouse Study Centre, Beaulieu - To raise funds for the Trust

Enjoy a fun-filled day of woodland activities for all ages.  Hands on experiences, face painting, apple pressing, vintage tractor and engine exhibits with New Forest Vintage Tractor and Engine Club, falconry, step back in time with storytelling at our Cob Cottage, deer trails, have-a-go pond dipping, woodland craft demonstrations, try your hand at pole lathing ... and much more!  BBQ with local produce and refreshments.

Come along and see for yourself - we would love to share the unique CET experience
Suitable for buggies and pushchairs.  Dogs welcome on leads.
Cost: £3.00 adult, £2.00 child. Friends of the Trust: £2.50/£1.50

ADVENTURE  ARCHERYField archery in an enclosed woodland setting
Thursday 30th October   1.00 pm – 3.00 pm . At the Treehouse Study Centre.

Move around the course, shooting at a variety of targets from different distances and elevations. No experience necessary as instruction will be given. 

Suitable for adults and children aged 12+ yrs
Cost: £25.00 per person. Friends: £20.00 

FUNDRAISING EVENT  to raise funds for the Countryside Education Trust
CHRISTMAS FAIR at Palace House the 38th year of the Fair
Friday 14th November  10 am – 2.30 pm
The perfect chance to pick up all those unusual Christmas presents and stocking fillers in the beautiful surroundings of Palace House.  A great variety of stalls and opportunity to rest a while and recharge your batteries in the Palace House Café, serving coffee, hot mince pies or lunch with a glass of wine.   Fabulous prizes in the Grand Draw including a Christmas Turkey, fresh from the CET farm. 

Sorry, NO pushchairs or buggies. 
Cost: £3 per person
Free car parking at Beaulieu Church meadow.  


CHRISTMAS LIGHTS -  Suitable for all the family.  
Sat 6th Dec    2.00 pm – 4.00 pm  at the Treehouse Study Centre

Lantern trail and storytelling – make your own lantern to take home and discover the decorated Christmas Tree hidden in the woods.

No unaccompanied children
Cost: £10.00 per adult and child - £4.00 per additional person. Friends of the Trust: £8.00/£3.00. 



Guided walks giving you the unique opportunity to birdwatch on quiet areas of private land in the company of professional, knowledgeable guide, Graham Giddens. 
Each walk will be approx. 3 miles (5km) and run for approximately 2 hours sometimes on uneven terrain. Please wear dark colours. Paths may be muddy and wet, so wear walking boots or wellies with a good grip.
Sunday 12th: PARK SHORE at 9 - 11.30 am
WE SHOULD SEE: Raptors, wildfowl and autumn migrants such as waders, wheatears, hirundines, pipits and finches.
Sunday 16th: NORMANDY MARSH at 9 - 11 am
WE SHOULD SEE: Wildfowl, waders, peregrine and skylark.
Sunday 14th: NEEDS ORE RESERVE at 9 - 11 am
WE SHOULD SEE: Raptors, wildfowl, waders and a good range of smaller birds.

Cost: £12.00 per walk per person. Friends of the Trust: £10.00.
Numbers are limited on each walk so book early. Full details will be sent upon booking.

Saturday 25th October    10.00 am – 4.00 pm
At the Treehouse Study Centre

Field day on the Beaulieu Estate with local fungi expert Phil Budd, Chairman of the Southampton Natural History Society.  Fungi foray and identification, display of collected and named specimens plus a look at the importance of fungi in the natural world. 

Suitable for beginners and the more experienced.  
Cost: £25.00 per person. Friends of the Trust: £20.00. 
Includes morning and afternoon refreshments – limited places so book early. 

LITTLE OWLS Parent & Toddlers Club

Come and have fun exploring nature for 2-4 year olds with adults 

Choose from two sessions: 10.00am – 12.00 noon or 1.00 – 3.00pm
Wed 1st October and Thurs 2nd October – Home Sweet Home
Wed 12th and Thurs 13th November – Autumn Leaves and Colour
Wed 3rd and Thurs 4th December – Festive Fun

Cost: £6.00 per parent & child (plus £3.00 for additional child/adult)

If you want something different – outdoor and eco-friendly, we have two great venues: The magical Treehouse Study Centre and Out of Town Centre Farm at Beaulieu with a range of fun activities.

Themes include Survival for 7 year olds + and Campfire Experience for 10 year olds+, a range of exciting themes for 4 – 10 year olds including Robin Hood, Pirates, Fairies & Elves, Dinosaurs, Bugs and Animals based at the Treehouse Study Centre all year round and farm parties in spring and summer at the Out of Town Centre.

Birds of Prey - Falconry Photography Day
Sunday 12th October   10.00 am -  4.00 pm
The day starts with a short introduction to falconry, followed by an opportunity to photograph birds of prey in flight, working and posed in their natural habitat.  Working closely with Falcons, Hawks and Owls including Amber the European Eagle Owl.
Cost: £50.00 per person. Friends of the Trust: £45.00 
Includes refreshments (Please bring your own packed lunch) 

“Introduction to Falconry” - A Falconry experience
During this half day session you will gain a basic understanding of birds of prey, their training and care whilst providing a hands-on experience holding and flying falconry birds.
Sundays         10.00am – 1.30pm
 28th September, 11th October (Saturday), 16th November, 7th December, 10th January
Cost: £50.00 per person. Friends of the Trust: £45.00.
