If you care about countryside education you can help us to secure its future. There are a number of ways you can get involved.
Membership of the Trust We are a local charity so we rely on local people for support. You can join the Trust from as little as £11 for a whole year’s membership. Find out how your support will
make a difference to the Trust and what you in turn will receive as a member to inform and inspire you about how you are helping to give children, young people and adults an unforgettable, rewarding and hands-on experience of the countryside.
Donations
If you are unable to make a regular commitment to our work, why not
make a secure online donation via My Donate to show your support and help us to continue our valuable work. A gift to us in your Will is another thoughtful way you can help to ensure that we can offer as many children as possible a unique countryside experience for years to come, encouraging future generations to understand and care for the countryside and the environment.
“Treat the earth well – it was not given to you by your parents – it was loaned to you by your children.” A native American saying.
“This saying embodies for me the whole essence of how we need to change our approach – to think more about how our actions of today affect the wellbeing of children now and in the future. A wise global view on education is very important but without serious local input, it would be nothing – foundations are all! The Countryside Education Trust helps provide this all important foundation – giving children a real-life experience of the natural world, food and farming, local history and much more. I myself have been fundraising for the Countryside Education Trust since its foundation some 30 years ago. I truly feel that I could not have spent my time more fruitfully. Your support of the Countryside Education Trust will help ensure that our children, grandchildren and future generations understand and care for our planet and have FUN learning about the workings of the natural world.” Lady Montagu of Beaulieu, Trustee of the Countryside Education Trust.
Lady Montagu is the Chair of our
Fundraising Committee. The members of the Committee work hard throughout the year to raise valuable funds for the Trust.
Volunteering
Wh

y not get involved and volunteer your time with the Countryside Education Trust? Some volunteers relish the opportunity of being involved on a weekly basis yet others may only wish to help out once or twice a year.
Any time you may have to offer to assist the Trust is greatly appreciated.
Our team of dedicated volunteers work in various areas at the Countryside Education Trust. Whether your skills lie in administration or gardening or you feel you would like to help out at our Open Days, serving refreshments or helping with children’s activities or maybe you would like to work independently distributing our leaflets and literature,
any help you can give the Trust is most welcome. We really could not run our events, keep our garden looking so fantastic and maintain our high standards of service without the help and loyal support of our volunteers.
Contact us on 01590 612401 if you would like more information on volunteering with the Trust.
