Description
BDMLR (British Divers Marine Life Rescue) are a charity with over 2,000 trained volunteers across the UK. These volunteers act as a frontline response service for marine mammals that may be in need of help. Sightings are reported via a 24-hour helpline.
The talk will provide insight into the species of marine mammals typically seen around the UK coastline along with a number of call out stories from local incidents including a dolphin stranding at Hayling Island, a seal rescue from the Isle of Wight and Thor the Calshot Walrus!
We will be open from 6.45 for a start time of 7pm.
Tea and coffee will be provided and there is access to a disabled toilet in this building.
- Please note that there are a limited number of free tickets for this event available for young people. One these tickets have been allocated all remaining tickets will be available at a charge of £7 per person including refreshments.
