Coppice season is finished, with the sap starting to rise in early March. This year’s patch was near Cob Cottage in Hartford Wood, a great setting for this traditional technique. These stools will regrow over several years, providing different habitats as they grow, and a sustainable source of timber!
In April we witnessed the birth of this year’s Lambs, from our Shetland and South Down ewes. This year, their names all begin with the letter I!
