Weeding in the garden – it’s my favourite job.

What has been your most memorable day at the CET and why?

Spending an afternoon at one of the open days holding rabbits and guinea pigs in baskets so children could stroke them! The children got so much out of this.

The atmosphere and the people!

What is the most interesting thing you have learned recently

I have really enjoyed learning about cereal crops, in particular the unusual varieties.

Where is your favourite place in the world?

I have 2 favourites, Lymington and Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

What is your favourite animal and why?

I think probably cats because they are affectionate but also independent.

What do you love about the outdoors?

I love watching things grow.

What is your most cherished memory of being outside in your childhood?

Being on the beach just outside my childhood home in Cowes harbour.
