Volunteers: Maintenance- shelter building repair

Maintenance and construction projects don’t come along very often but here we are with our second in three weeks. well done to those who helped with the poultry house(very impressive) this is an altogether different challenge. At Longmead copse (well done if you spotted that is not what is shown on the event image but you get the idea)  we use it to help  with the coppicing and are joined on various Mondays by a Yr10 Woodlander  group. The site incorporates a very pleasant refreshment and rustic shelter to take breaks in . It even has its’ own little cooking area but this area needs a little repair. We are taking a trip up a few days before to work out a plan of what needs doing. No hi tech construction skills on this one so if you know your way around a saw and a drill or are up to a bit of potential pointing with an axe come and join us on this one. No map for Lomgmead needed. Join us on the farm and we will take a minibus up.
