History

Home Farm is in the historic village of Beaulieu, in the New Forest. Beaulieu Abbey Church was once part of a vast monastery established by Cistercian monks in the 12th century and demolished by Henry 8th. The village itself is perfect for a field study and Palace House, the home of the Montagu family, provides a glimpse of Victorian life. Bucklers’ Hard, a little further afield, is an 18th century ship-building village and the cob cottage in our woodlands shows how a traditional New Forest home was constructed in 24 hours!
