We have made the decision to close the Countryside Education Trust for the time being, as a sensible way to protect all our supporters, volunteers and owls as well as our brilliant staff. We have an able team running everything as, whatever else, our animals still need to be cared for! We hope to put some resources online via social media to help those looking after children or feeling as if they would like to learn something new. As ever we are massively grateful for all your support, and look forward to seeing you back here as soon as this threat is over. Stay safe everyone!
The Countryside Education Trust is amazingly fortunate to have two distinct and beautiful sites. We are based on a farm, in a beautiful part of Hampshire, next to the picture perfect village of Beaulieu. Our other site is a short walk away in ancient woodland, which hides our Treehouse Classrooms.
During term times, school groups visit: some of our regulars have been coming for nearly 30 years. We are the perfect base for all ages, on a farm, but surrounded by a variety of habitats, historic places and opportunities for adventures. Our education officers work with teachers to ensure that learning needs are met, and the children love staying here.
Friends and families enjoy the benefits of staying on a farm and having lots of space for children to play and often return year after year. Self-catering is an option, and there are pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Children can sign up to animal feeding with our farmers and we can recommend great activities around the New Forest.
